What do I want to feel today?
Do you ever ask yourself: what do I want to read? Or: what do I want to feel?
These days, it seems that we are increasingly choosing a book not only for the story, but also with the expectation of experiencing a certain feeling while reading, or afterwards.
Because why enter another world just for the adventure, when you can also reach a certain feeling? It has almost become a kind of 'guilty pleasure'.
Every book has its own story and its own characters, and we all want to get to know them. But sometimes, it doesn't matter that much what is written on the page. Sometimes, what matters more is what our body and mind are going to feel.
Because when the story has ended, the feeling stays with us. One of the reasons why we read.
A book can go back onto your shelf, but the feelings stay with you forever.
'What do I want to feel today?' We are actually translating that into: 'In which world will I find it in?'
